St. Augustine Homeschool Enrichment
St. Augustine Homeschool Enrichment is composed of a group of families and professional Catholic teachers, working in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church and the Diocese of Raleigh, dedicated to offering quality academic courses to families on a budget. Our middle school courses will prepare students for college preparatory high school, and and our high school courses will prepare for college.
All are welcome, and we hope that we can meet your family's needs! Some class material and homework will involve Catholic tradition and doctrine; while students will never be asked to profess beliefs that are not theirs, all students are expected to do assigned work and to behave respectfully during religious classroom activities, such as prayers.
Classes take place on Thursdays at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Raleigh), as well as on Wednesday afternoons at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (North Raleigh).
Each 15-week semester, St. Augustine's offers both core courses and electives:
Core Courses in Science, Language Arts, and Foreign Language are offered at four levels: Pre-School/Early Elementary (ages 3-8); Elementary (ages 6-12), Middle School (ages 11-13), and High School (ages 14-18). Core Course options are:
- Science (Elem.: Hands on Explorers; Middle: Chem for Kids, General Sci, Physical Sci; High School: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Physics)
- Writing (includes Grammar, Vocabulary, Literature, and Writing)
- Foreign Language: choose Spanish or Latin.
Electives (vary by semester):
- Art (including Mixed Media, Studio Painting/Drawing),

- Theater & Musical Theater,
- Latin Schola,
